The Short Story Of Me

I'm Janel, I Was Born May 25, 1980

I am the daughter of Wes & Denise. I grew up in a loving, great home. I was spoiled rotten. My mom loved dressing me in cute, frilly dresses.

I am the middle child of 3 kids, I have an older sister, April. My brother is younger, and his name is Zach. My sister did not live with us, she has a different mother, but we kids had a blast when she was over at our house. Here is A Few Pictures Of My Child Hood days....

We Lived On The back roads of Caseyville, Illinois. I went to O'fallon Schools. We had a blast, everything from having four wheelers, and just playing like kids do. My childhood was GREAT!

In 1991, our house on Bethel Rd. burnt to the ground. That was a hard time, especially for my parents. We lived with my Grandma & Papa Self, until our new house was built.

As a teenager I was a pain in the butt, had an attitude like no other, and always getting in some kind of trouble. Sorry Mom & Dad!!! 1994, my sister had a babygirl, Alexandria Lynn, & I loved that little girl sooo much!!! <3 I would babysit her all the time & my sister lived right down the street, so I got to see her everyday, which kept me out of alot of trouble..lol

When I was in my early teens, my parents got divorced. That was a very hard time for me. Did not understand it at all, and We moved to Collinsville, Illinois. I switched My sophomore year from O'fallon Township High School To Collinsville High School.

In 1996, I lost someone very, very close to me (and it was also the first time I'd lost someone so dear to me) It was also hard for my mom, It was her twin brother, Daniel Lee

I was a teenager, out drinking, staying out late, and all that other non sense, that teenagers do, but It could of been a lot worse, i suppose. In 1998, I graduated High School.

Then soon after that my Mom moved to St. Louis, and Zach & I moved in with my Dad, and his new wife Jane. In Feb. 1999. I got a job at a bank in St. Louis, & I worked with my sister. Loved that job.

In Oct. 1999, I got my 1st place by myself, & it was in Belleville, Illinois. At this time in my life, through 2008 was a life learning experience. I had a lot of happy times a lot of sad times. Fell in love, got my heart broken, lots of smiles and lots of tears. Gained some great friends, and lost some friends.Whatever I been through makes me who i am. There is one quote that fits it perfectly

"Good judgment comes from experience, experience comes from poor judgment"

I had  great best friends, and family that stuck by my side through it all, and they helped me and still do, to this day, They are definetly my strength when i am weak. I've always been told, "what don't kill you will make you stronger". I feel like I have been there done that, and know that it is very true!!

In Oct. 1999, I got my cat Casino, and I still have her! 12 years old & I love her to death

And in 2005, I moved in with my Mom,in St. Louis,  and that July I started Cosmetology School, and I became a hairstylist & still am, and loving it.

Also in May 2008, I met my match =) When I started dating the Love I thought I would never find, and The man that would change my life, & my thoughts on everything I thought I knew...& His name is Tommy <3

3 years, and almost 4 months we are still together. I must admit, I fall more in love with him daily..He keeps me on my toes, lol, and like I said, when I met him, "I met my match" I Love You Thomas Charles...Always and Forever. <3

Present = I am living in Collinsville, Illinois. Working as a hairstylist, at a local salon, with some crazy girls. I have 2 beautiful neices (Alexandria, Lacee), 2 handsome nephews (Ausitn, Ian), that I love more than they will know (they all live out of town, so I don't get to see them much) but I also have my best friends kids, that I love just like they were my neices (Mikayla, Kennah) & nephews (Landon, Codie, Conner) I have the best family, & the best friends, a girl could ask for. My boyfriend is an amazing man. There are many life goals I have,and things I want to accomplish in my life, and I am working on that. Until then I'm living life. Taking things day by day.
